Trap in Spain

TRAP IN SPAIN

The trap arrived in Spain between 2008 and 2010 with first brushstrokes from groups such as Wase & J. Sánchez, Torrico, Daviz Logic, Urban P, Trad Montana, Etilic Maffia ... But it was not until 2012 that the Trap appeared as a musical term and small underground artists began to gain notoriety on the scene. The great weight of being the raiders of this genre is carried by a group called Pxxr Gvng, which reads poor gang, - the gang of the poor, in English -, consisting of Yung Beef, Kaydy Cain, Khaled as singers and Steve Lean in the musical production they managed to make themselves heard in the Sónar festival edition of 2015, performing with Mala Rodríguez, where they called the attention of the Sony label to publish the first feature with them. This group (and others that were appearing as the musical genre was gaining followers) reflected the current society in their songs and that made millions of young people feel identified with the trap with increasing force. At the moment the trap is a musical style that is subtracting space in the media to other more common styles, as it was seen in the United States and Latin America. These are some of the representatives of the Spanish Trap: The Saints (Yung Beef, Kaydy Cain, Khaled, Steve Lean) Takers (Marko Italy, Israel B, Rally Horse) The Zowi Kidd Keo Cecilio G Chanel
